Quiz Question

It may not be spring yet, but doesn’t a nice marble table like this make you think of drinks on the patio on a summer evening? Surely it does. But the question is, can you date it, and tell us where it was made?

 

It’s Italian, adapted from a popular Greek design. It was buried under volcanic ash in the garden of the house of Ceii in Pompeii in AD 79. Beautiful design really is timeless, isn’t it?
